Scrap Play Session

Tuesday 18th February, 10am-12pm

This session has lots of floor space for playing and creating! Its is entirely child-led, allowing your child the creative freedom to develop their own ideas. Children can make or play with the resources in any way they want; their imaginations can run wild, so you might be taking a preciously bedazzled piece of recycling home with you, but creative kids will love it. It's essentially a big mess that you don't have to clear up afterwards!  

Recommended age is 2-8 but if you're unsure please get in touch. Under 2s can join in with older siblings with a ticket, but please be aware that there will be older children stomping around and dragging big boxes, so close supervision is required! 

Resources: Cardboard boxes, pipe cleaners, beads, stickers, rolls of wallpaper, reams of tissue paper, ribbons, pens, paper and various scrap.

We recommend bringing a carrier bag to take your creations home with you.

FAQs

Parental supervision: This is not a drop off session. Parents must remain on the premises and supervise their children throughout the session.

Tickets: Parents and Under 2s do not require a ticket, but please be aware that seating may be limited within the hall. 

Parking: There is free parking along the Promenade and adjacent streets. 

Arrival & Departure: Please do not arrive any earlier than 10am start. The session finishes at 12 midday. 

Food and drink: Hot and cold refreshments can be purchased from The Lugger and consumed throughout the session. They serve lunch from 12pm. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks.

Accessibility: The Lugger is wheelchair accessible with disabled toilets. The acoustics in the function room can be challenging for some - children are welcome to wear ear-defenders if preferred. If you have any questions about accessibility please get in touch.
