Family Friendly Collage Workshops at the Eco Park

Cut and stick with us at the Eco Park Summer Fayres!

These family friendly collage workshops are unguided so you have total creative freedom to make whatever you want to take home. You could make a vision board, a collage or a card for loved ones.

This event is for children and adults. There will be a varied offering of magazines for everyone to choose from. These events are for adults and children, you don't have to attend with a child, anyone can attend, but children under 12 must be supervised by a ticket holding adult. Children from as young as 6 are welcome if this is something they'd enjoy and you are confident in their ability to use children's scissors, but it will be best suited for crafty tweens and teens. 

WHAT DO I MAKE?

You could make a collage. Cutting and sticking images to create something new is really therapeutic AND a very accessible artform - if you can use a pair of scissors, you can do it! It is surprisingly easy to create something interesting. People who've never done it before can't believe how great it is once you get started. Guidance can be given to get you started, and reference books are available to look at if you need ideas. 

As we near the end of the academic year, it's a great time to create a vision board. Want to make new friends? Improve a skill? Explore new hobbies? Get fitter? Find a new job? 

Some people bring their own books or junk journals to work into, but all resources are provided, so you don’t need to bring anything unless you want to.

These events are great to attend solo or with others. Some people like to work quietly on their own, putting on headphones and settling into their creative bubble, while others chat while they cut and stick. These sorts of events always attract the loveliest people, so you will find yourself in lovely company with friendly, like-minded creatives. 

The Eco Park is a venue for local events including live music gigs, theatre shows, markets, conferences, workshops, community garden and meeting spaces and is also a licensed wedding venue. It offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces for public use and private hire, plus a campsite, all set within 42 acres of organic farmland in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the north Cornish coast, Porthtowan.

The Summer Fayres are vibrant community celebrations with live music, DJs, workshops, family activities, food traders and heaps of unique independent stalls - like a mini festival! The fayres are free to attend but you can book in workshops like this to enjoy while you're there.
