What is Geddon PZ?

Geddon PZ is a FREE local magazine dedicated to celebrating the innovation and creativity of Penzance's businesses and communities. It shares stories and information about the local area, promoting independent businesses, charities, and organisations in West Penwith.

The zine is funded by our supporting local businesses who choose to advertise with us. Thanks to them we are able it distribute the zine for free. The supporting businesses also become distribution points, and the hosts of the Print Release Parties, encouraging extra footfall.

Geddon PZ is A4, full-colour and printed on 80gsm recycled uncoated paper.

We have a small print run but this is part of the desirablity - it makes it a bit of a challenge to get them, so we have developed an engaged local reach with genuine excitement for each new edition. There is a wordsearch and a quiz in every issue, encouraging readers to actively engage and interact- this helps them learn more about the different businesses too. The winner of the quiz wins £30 worth of vouchers to spend at our supporting businesses.

EXCITING NEWS!
Morrab Library have started archiving Geddon PZ as a historical reference of what Penzance was like in the 2020s. So every business and person featured will be preserved forever as part of our local history.

ADVERTISING

Geddon PZ focuses exclusively on promoting local independent businesses and we offer free spaces to local charities.

To keep our magazine tailored towards our local readership, we do not accept advertisements for holiday accommodations. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. If you'd like to support the magazine (and get an invitation to our Print Release Parties and a shout out on social media) you can purchase 70p copies of Geddon PZ to give to your guests. This gives your guests a keepsake 'Local's Guide to West Penwith', it encourages them to support our local businesses and it leaves more copies for the locals.
